My name is Michael Toledo. I am the oldest child of five that my first generation Mexican-American mother raised. I’m half Anglo and half Mexican-American. I’m from Topeka, Kansas. My first baby bed was the top drawer of a three drawer chest of drawers. We lived in a garage that was converted to a studio apartment. We were on public assistance and lived in section eight public housing for ten years. I earned a Masters Degree in Clinical/Psychiatric Social Worker from the University of Kansas. I have been in private practice when working in the mental health field. I earned the designations of LSCSW, LCSW and CEAP. I owned and managed two Outpatient Alcohol and Drug treatment programs and one Anger Management program. I changed professions in the late 1990’s and became an Insurance Agent. I currently own a small insurance agency.
